Over the years, we’ve explored the versatility of sake pairings with many labels and ingredients. Now, we want to push this further. In our October session, Janice is excited to push the boundaries and challenge our understanding with the addition of wine, featuring Lungarotti from Italy, together with wine specialist, Mr Marco Rossi. And it's not just any sake—expect a full lineup served warm!
This bold approach aims to go beyond the ordinary, discovering new, creative ways to understand flavour in the world of beverage and food pairings.
We’ll be tasting a selection of 4 wines, 4 hot sakes, and 8 dishes—ranging from Lungarotti’s more straightforward expressions to their complex, premium labels—and exploring how warm sake fits in, as well as how both wine and sake complement food across these diverse dimensions.

About Lungarotti Winery

About Janice Chi (M.S.S.)
Specialising in sake and food pairing, Janice is a certified Master Sake Sommelier (SSA) with a WSET Level 3 Award in Sake and a Sake Scholar qualification (SSC). She has spoken and led pairing masterclasses at Vinexpo Singapore 2023 and Hong Kong 2024, and served as a judge at the Singapore Sake Challenge 2023 and Japan’s Women Sake Award 2024.
About Marco Rossi
Lungarotti's Export Manager and Marketer, a globetrotting sommelier, wine communicator, and wine judge. He also hosts a podcast, driven by his deep passion for Tuscan and high acid wines. Constantly on the move, he dedicates his time to blogging, lecturing, and sharing his love for Italian wines with audiences worldwide.

Chi-san is the brain behind all the delectable food offerings on the menu. Having over 40 years of experience honing his culinary skills at several Japanese restaurants including Meguro Gajoen Tokyo, Pan Pacific Singapore’s Keyaki Restaurant and InterContinental Singapore. Chi-san takes pride in providing his customers with the freshest ingredients cooked in the best possible way. The tiniest details are never overlooked, from the dinnerware to the finishing touches of every dish.
